Black Friday is mere weeks away, so what better way to get you prepared for the BIGGEST sale of the year than by answering all of your questions about Black Friday, and giving you some top tips to help you get ahead of the queues?!
What is Black Friday, and When Did it Start?
Black Friday was a term coined by US police in Philadelphia back in the 60s in reference to the carnage in stores that first Friday after Thanksgiving, when all the items went on sale. Black Friday sales in Australia really took off in 2013 as Cyber Monday was added on, and we got 4 days worth of deals, both in store and online. Since then, Black Friday sales have erupted all over the world, with Australian shoppers spending an estimated $8 billion over Black Friday Cyber Monday (BFCM) weekend in 2021! Cyber Monday, as the name would suggest is the Black Friday of the digital age, with online retailers joining in the ‘festivities’ by offering their customers - existing and potential - their favourite products for much lower prices.

How Can Stores Afford to Charge so Little During Black Friday Sales?
Well, we can’t speak for everyone, but in our case we can say this - it’s not all about profits. Black Friday sales are as much about marketing as they are about sales. What we mean by that is that by offering our products at such low prices those potential customers who had been on the fence about whether or not they should try us as a brand can do so without any real significant loss if they end up not liking whatever it is they’ve bought. That being said, we’re really confident in our products, and we know that once you try them, you’ll be hooked!
What Are Some MUST HAVES I Should Add to My Basket?
While we don’t want to give too much away with regards to what will be included in the sale, or exactly what the offers will be, we can let you know which products will be well worth trying out!
Glue
We won’t treat you like you’re silly, of course glue will be on sale! Glue is always flying off of our shelves come BFCM, so it’s always good to add a bottle or two to your basket ahead of time so it’s super quick and easy to check out once you get that BLACK FRIDAY 2022 IS LIVE! Email. Before you stock up though, we highly recommend that you only buy as much glue as you can reasonably use within 3 months - while the glue we stock is always fresh, it’s better to be safe than sorry where glue is concerned!
Lashes
Lashes are great to stock up on during BFCM sales as they don’t go off, and it’s good to know you’re definitely not going to run out with xmas and NYE on the horizon! Sure, you can get heaps of your fave lashes, but why not also try something you haven’ tried before? With the savings you’re about to get, you’re really not losing anything if you end up not liking the wildcard in your shopping basket…
Pretreatment and Aftercare Products
Stock up on these, yes, but be careful - as with any liquids there is a use by date. With pretreatment and aftercare though, it is a much longer date than you’d find on glue. Our advice is to get 2 lots of your pretreatment to keep you ticking over, and stock up on aftercare - if you don’t already, stocking products to retail to your clients is going to increase your revenue in a big way, and knowing that your clients have a great aftercare routine will put your mind at ease about their retention.
