Shop Smart, Not Hard: How To Avoid Overstocking Your Lash Supplies During Black Friday
Black Friday sales are creeping closer by the minute. If you’re like us, you already have your eye on a few things, and you might even have some things in your basket ready to go! If you do, that’s top notch preparation work and we salute you, but before you get a little bit too carried away by all of those attractive lower prices, allow us to give you some sage advice to ensure that your Black Friday haul is as cost effective as can be!
First Things First, Perishables
All of the liquids you buy to do lashes - your pretreatment, lash glues, removers - all have a shelf life. These shelf lives vary from product to product, but luckily for you, we’ve got a handy little list that you can refer to!

These have a pretty long shelf life and are available as individual units to be used as pretreatment, or in packs of 9 for you to retail to your clients to use as their aftercare.

Other Pretreatment for Eyelash Extensions
We all need pretreatment - it’s fundamental to ensuring great retention, but how long can you use your Cleanser and Primer before they stop doing what they’re supposed to?

Last but not Least: Glue for Lash Extensions
Glue is the big one - it’s always heavily discounted for Black Friday (and yes, it’s FRESH) so we often see lash techs buying 10 bottles at a time. In those cases we usually reach out to them and make sure they’re able to use all of those bottles within a 6 month time-frame, because it’s inevitable that come May of the following year, we get messages from lash techs saying that the glue they bought during the Black Friday sales doesn't work. This is because it simply doesn’t last longer than its shelf life.
You’ll know better than anyone how much eyelash extension glue you can safely get through in 6 months - and honestly, we’d recommend buying only as much as you can use within 4 months, just to be on the safe side.
Shelf life unopened: 6 months
Shelf life from opening: 2 months
Non Perishables
Anything that doesn’t have a use by date is safe to stock up on - grab extra lashes, try some that you haven’t tried before and just make sure you’re all stocked up ready for the summer. We’d recommend grabbing an extra set of tweezers, just in case, and while eyepatches do have a use by date (three years from their date of production) you’ll be safe to stock up on those as they’re single use. Just make sure you don’t store them anywhere hot, as they may dry out!
That’s it! All that’s left to do now is add everything you want and/or need to your basket, then sit back and wait for your lash haul to arrive! Don’t forget to tag us in your Instagram lash haul stories so that we can get excited with you!
